Visit Copenhagen - Experience Nordhavn

Bring more people to visit a neighborhood of innovation.

As part of the Graphic Design Foundations studio at DIS Copenhagen, I developed a poster series to help reimagine how tourism is distributed across the city. This campaign responded to a real-world challenge posed by Visit Copenhagen: how to encourage visitors to explore neighborhoods beyond the crowded city center. Through field research, concept development, and iterative design, I created a cohesive visual language that highlights the rich, overlooked experiences across Copenhagen’s diverse districts. The final deliverables include three A3 posters designed to inspire curiosity and broaden the tourist gaze.

I was very inspired by the aesthetic of Ib Antoni, who was the incredibly designer behind the illustrations of Wonderful Copenhagen.
Mood board:

After visiting Nordhavn, I have recognized that there is more humanness to Nordhavn than it is currently advertised. There are plenty of cute shops, cafes, and enough attractions to go around. However, the industrial and design look has made Nordhavn feel unapproachable. Inspired by In Antoni, I want to add this humanness back into Nordhavn again.

Additionally, as many of the posters of Wonderful Copenhagen were created back in the 50s and 60s, I incorporated the era’s feel to my designs.
